Hyundai has officially taken the wraps off the all-new 2026 Hyundai Palisade at the New York International Auto Show, revealing a more spacious, more efficient, and more capable version of its flagship three-row SUV. This system pairs a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with an electric motor to generate a combined output of 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. With an estimated fuel consumption rating of 7.0 L/100 km on the highway and a projected range exceeding 900 kilometres, the hybrid version delivers strong performance while offering long-distance efficiency. It’s also capable of towing up to 4,000 pounds, making it an appealing choice for families with campers or trailers.
The 2026 Palisade continues to offer a traditional gas engine, but it’s not the same as before. A new 3.5-litre naturally aspirated V6 engine replaces the outgoing 3.8-litre, offering 287 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and comes standard with Hyundai’s HTRAC® all-wheel drive system. The maximum towing capacity is rated at 5,000 pounds, and the Palisade includes a built-in tow mode to improve performance while hauling. The new Relaxation Seats for the front and second rows offer extra recline and leg support, and second- and third-row passengers benefit from available ventilation, heating, and power-folding features. USB-C ports with 100-watt charging capability are located in every row, and an available 14-speaker Bose® sound system brings high-quality audio to all passengers.
A new addition to the Palisade lineup is the XRT PRO, Hyundai’s most capable off-road-oriented variant to date. Built with adventure in mind, it adds a one-inch suspension lift for 8.4 inches of ground clearance, an electronic limited-slip differential, and improved approach, breakover, and departure angles. Off-road-ready all-terrain tires, orange recovery hooks, a tow hitch, and underbody protection all come standard. Inside, the XRT PRO features dark-finish wheels, unique stitch patterns, and leatherette upholstery. Visually, matte black accents and exclusive XRT PRO badging distinguish this rugged version from the rest of the lineup.
Hyundai has packed the 2026 Palisade with new convenience and safety technologies. A built-in dual-camera dashcam records incidents while driving or parked, with footage accessible from the touchscreen or a MicroSD card.
