In recent years, the Hyundai model lineup has expanded to offer vehicles that meet every customer need. Whether you’re looking for fuel efficiency, all-terrain capability, passenger and cargo space or sporty aesthetic, Hyundai has a vehicle to offer you. And finally, Hyundai’s first pickup truck will be joining the dynamic vehicle lineup. Since the concept was revealed in 2015, Hyundai has built and perfected a pickup truck unlike any other.

Hitting showrooms as early has this summer, the all-new 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz pickup offers exciting capability and style to stand out against its mid-size truck competitors. And before it does, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about Hyundai’s first pickup truck.

Visual Appeal

As always, you can count on Hyundai to deliver unique vehicle design. So, at first glance, you’re sure to notice the Santa Cruz’s defined, contoured body design. You’ll also notice its angular LED headlights, seamlessly blending with the cascading chrome front grille. Overall, the Santa Cruz showcases a silhouette and aesthetic unlike any of its competitors.

The Santa Cruz features a unibody construction, equipped with a crew cab and short bed. It even offers a lockable tonneau cover and remote-activated opening tailgate. But although it falls into the mid-size pickup class, its performance promises to be impressive. The Santa Cruz is anticipated to be available with either 18” or 20” wheels, promising capability and confidence on any terrain type.

The interior promises to be just as impressive. Seating surfaces are to be offered in a premium leather finish, along with a comfortable seating design for all 5 passengers. It also offers additional cargo storage underneath the rear seats in the cabin. The Santa Cruz is also the first pickup in its class to offer a fully digital gauge cluster, paired with a traditional gear shifter.

Technology

The 2022 Santa Cruz will be standard equipped with an 8” infotainment touchscreen, or you can opt for the 10” touchscreen instead. It will also be standard equipped with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa, as well as a wireless phone charging pad.

For an incredible audio experience, the Santa Cruz even offers an available 8-speaker Bose sound system. So, no matter if it’s work or play, your time on the road is sure to be fun and entertaining!

Finally, the Santa Cruz will come equipped with BlueLink services: Hyundai’s complimentary phone app companion to your vehicle. With BlueLink, you’ll have access to your vehicle information as well as the ability to activate multiple vehicle controls. You can lock or unlock your vehicle as well as remote start – you can even set cabin temperature. BlueLink is a convenient way to access your vehicle, no matter how far away you are.

For even more excitement behind the wheel, you can opt for the 2.5L turbocharged engine, offering an impressive 281 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines come standard with an 8-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission. And for the best handling on any terrain type, the Santa Cruz is even equipped with HTRAC All-Wheel Drive.
